Honestly the time I was taking the sessions was an overwhelming time for me emotionally and mentally. I really liked how she was always asking the reason behind why a thing is happening, Getting to the root of an issue and exploring it, being really empathetic and kind. I would always come back to our sessions knowing I would be understood. Having someone who I know won’t disregard my concerns really helped me. Last but not the least I really appreciated our chats on Whatsapp and exploring things there in addition to the sessions. The best thing about our sessions is that I am able to talk about all my problems and get solutions for them .I can easily tell all my worries and confusion and get answers and ideas to overcome. I like the fact that I can share anything, and someone is patiently listening to me and writing it down. And also remembering. Another fact I like is that she makes me “think”. Ask a What if or something that makes me think. She respects my individuality and doesn’t consider me alien or something. I like how she has been with me since I was jobless then a good job. Though I have always liked how you have handled me during bad times, How we talked and I have become so comfortable with you sharing anything. But let me describe one particular moment that really touched me. So you remember that golden watch? Everyone used to say how it didn’t suit me, How it looks old for my age. After it broke, I replaced it with a stylish or young black type. When I showed my new watch to you, You liked it. Then you said something that touched me, “Par mujhe wo purani wali bhi pasand thi”. I felt good because no one had accepted that watch. This moment is very dear to me. My overall experience has been quite positive and I wish to continue with you for a long long time. As such I don’t have any specific suggestion for you. Maybe more troubled people can better suggest you. Yatendra said you stay diplomatic, But I don’t think that should change. If you are not so, You will not remain non-judgemental and will just echo the thoughts of your client. Who will then show him/her a different way to see things or whatever. I personally would not want you to be just an echo chamber of your client. But again, It came to mind so I told. When I don’t have something better to say, I say anything. Hehe.

I felt very comforted through the sessions in sharing what I had in mind, even though I think sometimes i was repetitive. The sessions helped me get a perspective to use a better lens for understanding things that were happening around me. Many of the suggestions helped me greatly. I think sharing perspectives through personal examples made things very relatable for me and it made the whole experience very approachable rather than very formal. It almost felt like I had a friend and I looked forward to the next session. While moving out into a separate house had helped me greatly, I am generally able to navigate through my marriage in a better way. I like that you’re always curious and concerned. You ask questions. You try to make me open up. Sometimes I come with the intention of speaking about a lot of things, but then I’m not able to, with you showing the interest you hear and asking questions, I’m able to speak whatever’s in my head, and open up. Positive changes: I have been able to open up a lot. You always used to tell me that I find myself not as an expressive person, but through our sessions of expressing, I have been able to do that more. With seeing such a positive response from you, I started expressing to ppl who I know also care for me and would give me a positive response.  Overall it’s been good. I think I like the sessions more when you give your opinions too and not just listen to me. When you tell how you feel, or perceive it. Because I like to think about how it is. When you give your opinion too, it makes me think about it in a different way, and sometimes it’s such a good way to think about it. So yeah, I like that. I like how you told me to think about hope, about taking things step by step, about how I can’t do anything about somethings, the one last push before my visa, about how I should tell people things, what I should, what I should be careful about, I like the conversations we have. I like when you tell me things, because your thoughts are so good, and it helps me so much.

So many. There are so many moments that have been impactful to me with you. I started therapy just to experiment with it. I just wanted to try it out and see how it is, but it ended up being something so so good in my life. The moments where I have opened up to you have made a huge impact on me, cuz I don’t easily open up, but it was so easy to trust you and open up to you. You gave me the space and comfort to do so. The session where I cried to you on call, I think that was a memorable one. I don’t cry to people. I have never even cried to my mum (after growing up) or anyone in my family, always silently cried inside the room, under the blanket. It’s a very very few people that I have been able to  be vulnerable in that sense. That session had gotten very heavy gut m. It was a horrible night of crying the night before, a morning full of anxiousness, and I had texted you that I need to talk. You adjusted and scheduled a session that afternoon itself, spoke everything that was going on in my head, you listened. For a second even I was shocked that I was crying, but I’m glad I did, I had to put it out and you gave me the space to do so and comforted me too. Will always be grateful for that. Another moment that I think was memorable is the session I told you everything about what happened before K left. Not because it was about him, but because I was sooo anxious about the whole thing, about if I did right, many ppl wouldn’t even understand that, but after telling you everything, you told me what I did was right, that it was okay to feel everything, you gave me the assurance I needed. It really helped me a lot and made me feel better, because I’m not a kind of person who does spontaneous things like that, and for someone who knows me so well, knows everything that I have been through, to tell me that it was okay, meant a lot.

Ma’am is cooperative, supportive, provides the ideal space a therapist should provide. And it feels good to talk a lot but I feel my problems and whatever disorders I have hamper the efficiency of the sessions because I tell the information in a manipulative way to sound good, or maybe it’s not just for her but for myself too. I lie to myself to feel good about myself. And I don’t know what to do about that. Also, I feel I end up speaking myself only for most of the session at times without actually giving therapist to give me significant insights. Of Course I have received insights and help and useful things from her but not in all the sessions. I got over the habit of saying “probably” or “maybe” after literally every sentence when I spoke so that built up confidence. If not confidence it led me to understand that what I said is said, adding a probably does not change the possible harm or the good that would be cause by that information. It helped a little listening in words that a lot of my habits of not being clean are just “men” habits. Although I can still differentiate what fraction of my habits are because of me being depressed and what are normal, but still it has made a difference. Then, me being hopeless of romantic relationships and every other relationship also was told as just a result of all the bad experiences I have ever had so that made me realise that maybe “I am not really the problem”. But also that has lead me to believing that my fortune kismat luck whatever is terrible in terms of my mental health aspects. Being rejected for my height not my fault, being rejected for my religion not my fault, being rejected for rumours not my fault. But by sheer coincidence, all the girls that could have any potential relationship belonged to these categories only. No mature girls come my way. Kismat kharab. I need to talk about it in the next session I guess.
